Solution (pre-emptive). When popping in a new roll, take your black sharpee marker (we all have a million of those) and color the several layers closest to the core of the roll (do it on both sides). When you are close to the end, the paper backing will have black (or colored if you choose) edging to warn you that you are getting low (kinda like the pink on receipt paper but not as obvious) . At that point print only one at a time till you decide to bag it and change rolls. |

I never heard of any resolution on this. Did you salvage any of the postage that didn't get printed? And if so, how? |

As I sense I am nearing the end of my 700 label GENERIC roll of 30915 labels I simply open the printer and unroll the remaining labels so I can write BOLDLY on the backing sheet a countdown of 50, 40, 30, 20, 10.
That combined with Bill's suggestion that you limit your low value postage runs to ten and your high value postage to singles will keep you lovin' Endicia and Dymo! |

I have run into this a few times. I have found a way to save the postage, at least most of it. Sometimes I loose the one stamp that is first, but that's better then all of it. What I do is open the print job dialogue box and put all the print jobs on hold. I then shutdown, not reboot, the computer, unplug and replug the dymo printer. bring the computer back up and then open the printer dialogue box back up. Resend all those on hold and they should print. I has worked the last 2 times I tried it.
Good luck,

2 answers....neither good.
I ran into the same thing. On a wing and a prayer, you can try going into the print que for that printer, and the 'stamps' may be waiting there for you to resume. If so, you've saved your $$...although you're going to wind up with umpty stamps you'll have to use later.
If you aren't successful in recovering the lost postage through the print que -- unless Endicia has come up with a solution since my disaster -- you've lost your postage.
AFTER I lost the money, Endicia taught me how to retain the transactions in the print que until I manually delete them. That, in itself, creates performance problems for the computer -- keeping the print que full of jobs -- but it beats the alternative.
We have a rule now: We print no more than 10 labels at a time -- and if it's high dollar postage (e.g. $4.90) we single print them.

Hi Audrey! You can look up your log at endicia.com, change the bbegin/end dates to the day in question (sounds like today), and you should get a listing of every debit/credit to your account today. |

Hi Audrey,
The folks over at Endicia are more qualified to answer your questions. The issues you describe are related to Endicia software and policies. PostalMate support is limited to setup and interface. |

Two scenarios:
First we were printing 59 postage stamps with InstaPostage within PostalMate when we ran out of labels. Reloaded the Dynmo machine with a new roll...the remaining labels did not come out. Was I charged for these labels? how to reprint if I was charged? how to check to see if we were charged?
Second..printing 202 postage stamps with Instapostage. Labels stopped coming out but not enough labels were printed. How do I check what I was charged for as the amount pulled over to the cash register screen?
Thanks
