Hi Mike,
You cannot merge the data - but if everything went as it should have when your Master went down, then it should only be a matter of restoring a backup. So ....let's see if I can 'splain things here...
On a Tuesday morning your Master goes down and you turn an Aux into a stand alone.
You restore the last backup you have from broken Master (should be from Monday at close of day) onto the stand alone.
You take Master in for repairs and bring it back on Friday evening.
You close the stand alone at end of day on Friday and do a backup (store on a flash drive).
You re-network computers with the old master as a Master once again and the stand alone as the aux again.
You pop flash drive into MASTER station, open PM Utilities and restore the backup from your Friday stand alone.
Voila - it is done.
This creates a continuing line of data - the machines have been switched - but the data has been the same data every day.
Please call support if you have any questions on this. It is much harder to explain here than to do so while talking to you. |
